Table topics for the holidays
Hi,
This week—for many of us a week off—I’m taking the time to reflect on the year and start making some plans to look forward to in 2023. If you want to hold your own YearPlanDay, this is a great time to do it. Check last week’s newsletter for a walkthrough. And this one for more resources. Or consult chapter 6 of GRIP.
Perhaps you too have this week off, or maybe a quiet week at work. I hope you can find some time for yourself or can spend some time with loved ones. Here’s a few questions for you to think about on your own or talk about with friends and family.
What habit of yours is limiting your growth or development?
What frustrated you to no end this past year? What is it in yourself that triggers that frustration?
What did you most enjoy doing with friends or family this past year?
Where are you cutting corners?
What are you most proud of?
Think about what you truly love doing—something that makes you happy and gives you energy. What’s stopping you from organizing twice as much of that in the year to come?
What if the pandemic and all it entails continues to be a part of our lives in some form or another. How would that influence your choices and plans for the coming year?
Enjoy these final days of the year, filled with memories and insight you can take with you into 2023. Wishing you and yours a fantastic new year.
Have a good week,
Rick
